| This palace, located near Campo Manin, near the Rialto, owes its name to the spiral staircase (shape of a snail shell) in its courtyard, a late 15th centure construction. The staircase leads to an arcade which purveys a breathtaking panoramic vista over some of the roof-tops of the city. In the interior of the palace are important paintings, among them two works by S.
